How to Take Better Photos – Three Simple Steps
I’m going to show you how to transform your results from ordinary to extraordinary.
The Three Steps
So, what exactly are these three steps.
I’m going to be completely honest, I don’t like to overcomplicate things. I don’t like to reinvent the wheel.
The Ordinary to Extraordinary Photography System
This is just basically putting together the three key elements you need in order to take awesome photos.
I’m going to go through the outline of how it works. If I went through it in detail, we would be here for hours, but I’m going to show you through the outline, and then in future posts I’m going to go into more detail.
- Step No. 1: you need to set yourself up for success. i.e. master your camera, know your subject, and have a great grasp of the photographic controls that go to make a great photo. Simple.
- Step No. 2: you need to capture the moment, i.e. to make the creative decisions. Based on your understanding of the photographic controls from step one. Exploit the available graphic controls and understand how they impact the final image to enable you to master composition. And of course, great timing.
- Step No. 3: you need to reveal the magic in your raw image. With your post production wizardry becoming a master of the digital darkroom to get the most out of what you’ve captured in your photos to give them that wow factor.
When you bring it all together, you create extraordinary images.
So how EXACTLY do you bring it all together?
Look out for the details in my future posts
In the mean time let me know which of the above steps or parts of the steps you struggle with
